START YOUR WEBSITE DESIGN JOURNEY…

My Website Design Process

Below is a chart which explains the basic process of how I work. I am frequently asked what the website design process is, this chart (whilst simplified) should provide you with a fundamental insight into the process we will follow when you hire me.

  • Client Meeting

This is where we discuss your requirements and budget.

  • Proposal & Deposit

Based on the facts gathered at our meeting I will submit my proposal for your new website. Upon acceptance a deposit is required.

  • Design Feedback & Revision

Once your initial design is ready I present it to you for approval. I then make any revisions based on your feedback and once finalised I move on to development.

  • Development

I begin work on developing your website, we will discuss progress at key stages and you will have access to the testing and development area.

  • Deliver

Once the final website is approved, you pay the due balance and we celebrate the launch of your new website!

LETS TALK ABOUT PRICE

My Website Design Prices

These days I tend to focus on up-datable website design and e-commerce website design only.

I no longer develop micro-sites or small brochure websites as I like to move with technology. As of April 2015 Google now gives precedence to websites that are responsive and mobile friendly. As a result if you are going to build a proper responsive website then, in my humble opinion, the sub £500 website budget is no longer a viable option.

WHAT MY CLIENTS SAY

WEBSITE DESIGN REVIEWS

If you are anything like me then you probably look for reviews on just about anything before you make a purchase these days! I can’t tell you how many times I have chosen one product over another based just on Amazon reviews!

So I would never expect a client to hire me without first checking out my portfolio and reading a few reviews! I have provided a few snippets from previous clients below, but if you want to check for yourself feel free to check out my Google+ Page where you will see I have been awarded 5 stars on every single review or check out my testimonials page.

HAVE A QUESTION?

WEBSITE DESIGN FAQ’s

You may still have have some questions, therefore I have put together a set of answers below to my most frequently asked questions. However if you cannot find the answer you require below then please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions.

Can you provide hosting for my new website?

Yes absolutely! Hosting is charged on an annual basis.

I already have hosting arranged can we use that for my new website?

Yes! As long as the hosting space is a Linux based operating platform, is running the right version of PHP and we have PHP MYAdmin database facilities available to us.

Do you register domain names?

Yes! I can register or manage your domain names on your behalf, you will of course remain the registered owner.

Can you provide email accounts?

Absolutely! Every website I host comes with unlimited email mailboxes included as standard.

How long will it take to develop my new website?

Every website project is different, so I cannot state specifically here how long your project may take but on average the new website development cycle takes about 4-6 weeks. It can sometimes be quicker but I would need to know exactly what is required to estimate delivery times.

All quotes come with estimated project timelines.

Will I own the finished website?

Yes. All I ask is permission to post screenshots and a description in my portfolio.

Do you only work with local businesses?

No. I can design and develop websites for clients across the UK and worldwide. If a face to face meeting is not possible we can use video conferencing to discuss your project.

What is an updatable website?

An updatable website is a website with a back end content management system (CMS). You can use that back end administration area to edit the content of your website yourself after launch (and training!).

Do you develop WordPress websites?

Yes. The majority of my updatable websites are built using the WordPress platform. In my humble opinion it is the best platform for updatable websites that is currently available.
