Below you can find out everything you need to know about my logo design service. I have separated everything into clear sections which should answer any questions you might have. However if you still can’t find what you need here (or if you don’t like reading!) then please do not hesitate to ask me a question.

How much do you charge for logo design?

Everyone has a budget, and price is often the deciding factor for many people so I have put this information right at the top. So if budget is your primary concern then you can find my logo design packages and pricing structure clearly laid out by clicking the button below.

Which logo design package should I choose?

It can be confusing as to which logo design package is right for you. After all how are you to know how long it will take for me to design the right logo for you? I understand this completely as it isn’t always easy for me to know which package you need until I have all the details either. So the best I can do without talking to you is to give you a rough guide as to what type of company is best suited to each package.

Take a moment to look at my logo design packages and pricing page which should help you decide which package is best suited to your project. Pay particular interest to the “Who is this for?” section under each package.

In addition if you are not sure what you should be spending on your logo design then please have a read of this help and advice article which I put together it might give you some insights into what budget you should be aiming for.

And If you are still unsure just ask.

What is the process, how do you work?

Below is a chart which explains the basic process of how I work. I am frequently asked what the logo design process is, this chart (whilst simplified) should provide you with a fundamental insight into the process we will follow when you hire me.

  • You Fill In My Logo Design Questionnaire

This gives me a great foundation of information from which to start your project.

  • Deposit

I require a 50% deposit in order to schedule in your project and start work. This covers some of my initial work and is non-refundable.

  • Conceptualisation

I then start work creating concepts for your new brand. Once complete I send the initial designs for your consideration along with my detailed notes.

  • Feedback & Revise

I then make revisions based on your feedback, expect some back and forth at this stage.

  • Deliver

Once the final logo design is approved, you pay the due balance and I deliver the final artwork files!

Other frequently asked questions...

You may still have have some questions, therefore I have put together a set of answers below to my most frequently asked questions. However if you cannot find the answer you require below then please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions.

How many designs and revisions will I receive?

Standard Package = At  least 6 Designs – Unlimited Revisions (Within Reason)

Premium Package = At least 12 Designs – Unlimited Revisions (Within Reason)

Ultimate = Unlimited Designs (Within Reason) – Unlimited Revisions (Within Reason)

As well as the above you will also receive my detailed design notes which are sent with every batch of concepts, which offer insights into each design. Various realistic mock-ups may also be included in the later stages to help you better visualise the revised concepts.

How soon will I receive my initial designs?

Initial designs are usually received within 14 working days (I work Monday to Friday) from the receipt of your completed logo design questionnaire and your deposit. Exact project times can vary depending on my current workload at the time but this is the average turnaround time for Standard Packages. Due to the increased project time allocated within the Premium Package these can take a little longer but it ultimately depends upon my workload at the time.

The Ultimate Service is quoted on an individual basis and expected project times will be estimated within your quote.

What is the difference between Logo Design, Identity and Branding?

Brand is (in short) how the image of a business is perceived emotionally as a whole.

Identity is the term used when referring to the visual components that form a part of the brand overall.

A logo is a mark or icon that represents or identifies a business in its simplest form.

Whilst I can’t promise you (and neither should any other designer!) is that I can create for you a successful ‘brand’.

Creation of a successful brand cannot be promised by anyone.

Brand success is determined by many contributing factors including successful marketing, consumer adoption, brand affinity and much, much more.

Brand success is not just about having a great logo.

What I can promise you however is that then I will put all my creativity to work for you and pour my heart and soul into researching, conceptualising and designing for you a successful logo and/or identity.

All I ask in return is that you make the right level of investment in line with your aspirations!

Do you offer anything cheaper?

I try to offer logo packages to accommodate all budgets however the amount of work that is required to research, conceptualise and create a really great logo is unfortunately underestimated by some people.

I do not even try and compete with the “4 designs for £50.00 clip-art style” logo design companies. To me they represent logo design in the loosest sense of the word.

What I bring to the table is over 20 years of experience as a professional designer and crucially this is what you are paying for.

My expertise, skill, insight and experience in creating inspirational design, are assets that can only be earned by serving many years as a professional creative and as a result my prices reflect that.

That said – if you on a tight budget you could always check out my pre-made logos currently for sale – prices start from as low as £100.00 – and you might find the perfect logo ready and waiting to go.

How does payment work?

I ask for a 50 percent deposit (which is payable by Cash, Cheque, PayPal or Bank Transfer) before adding your project to my schedule.

The remaining 50 percent is payable upon completion before I send the final artwork files.

What if I don’t like what you design?

This is very rare. Sometimes I will get the design perfect first time, however sometimes it can take a number of rounds of feedback and revisions before we have a final design.

I always aim to ensure that my clients are very happy at the end of the project and that I have worked to the highest standards possible within the confines of the time-scale, brief and of course the budget.

But the cold hard facts of the the answer are:

  1. Deposits are non-refundable. Projects are often front loaded, meaning that the majority of the work I need to do is often right at the start of a project with less time required towards the end of a project refining designs and preparing files etc. As such the deposit I ask for goes some way to covering me for the sheer amount of time I invest at the start of any project and as a result it is non-refundable.
  2. Until a project is paid for in full then the copyright to any and all ideas I conceive or concepts and designs that I create remain my copyright and my intellectual property.

However, as long as we maintain good communication throughout the project and a proper brief is given at the start there is no reason that any problems should arise. I always keep clients updated regularly with progress and we discuss ideas and the design direction constantly throughout every project in order to avert any such issues.

If you are unsure, I would always advise that prospective clients look at a designers portfolio before hiring them, if you like what a designer has created previously then there is a good chance that you will like what they produce for you.

It is also a good idea to look at a designers reviews or testimonials from previous clients.

You can also have an informal chat or ask the designer questions about your project before going ahead.

I am very easy going, approachable and patient so if you have a question please do not hesitate to get in touch.
