The Challenge:

Crown Associates are Independent Investment Managers based in Switzerland. They required a professional logo design creating to spearhead the companies identity.

Investment management is a highly professional and competitive sector where the professionalism of the company must be communicated to the highest standards.

My Thoughts:

My idea was to create a highly professional logo design which effectively communicated an increasing investment.

I used arrows to form the top of the crown icon.

I then combined the modern motif with a more traditional typeface for the the ‘CROWN’ lettering to communicate an established feel for the company.

The more modern and simple typeface for ‘ASSOCIATES’ was selected to establish a link between the lettering and motif and also to communicate the balance between the traditional values and modern forward thinking ethos of the business.

The Challenge:

The client required a lion head design creating for their brand. They wanted it to be aggressive, yet simple, clean and modern.

I have actually worked on several lion related logo designs now, it seems to be a popular theme!

This one was pretty straightforward and turned out great.

I have shown the design in several different mock-up styles here to demonstrate the designs versatility, the original vector artwork (shown right/below) can be scaled to any size and printed in any colour.

The Challenge:

The client required a modern, simple and original fitness identity design to spearhead the their sports apparel brand.

My Thoughts:

I loved working on this fitness identity project, I came up with several viable concepts but this one made the final cut for the client.

Presented here in gold foil the logo works equally as well in silver foil and monotone. It is a very simple design and there in lies its beauty.

The emblem is made up of a stylised capital letter ‘A’. This dynamic design communicates a feeling of fluidity, strength and movement.

The Challenge:

Burrito Amigo required a restaurant logo design for a Mexican street food outlet. The client requested an authentically styled logo to head up the brand.

My Thoughts:

Using a combination of traditional Mexican patterns and carefully selected fonts this design oozes traditional Mexican style.

The subtle worn/distressed effect adds to the authentic traditional feel.

The logo is created entirely from vector artwork so that it can be scaled to any size without loss of definition. This is especially handy when logos need to be versatile and are likely to be made into signs etc.

The Challenge:

Empire Athletic required a lion head logo to complement their existing logotype.

The lion head logo design was needed to be used on their range of athletics apparel and other promotional material.

My Thoughts:

This lion head logo is designed to work as both a solid single colour (right/below) and as an outline design (above/right).

This required two variations of the logo to be created.

The examples shown here are mock-ups generated to showcase how the logo might look if printed in hot foils, or if embossed/debossed.

I find photorealistic mock-ups are often a useful tool to help clients better visualise how their logo may look in practical use.

The Challenge:

This client came to me requiring a new logo to spearhead their re-branding project, the aim of which was to modernise their company identity.

I am based in Stourbridge, however I offer my logo design services to clients worldwide. This was a local client who was based in Brierley Hill.

This simple yet effective design was created in 2013 as part of a re-branding project which also involved the creation of new stationery and a new company website.

Hey, my name is Martin Williams and I created this Logo Design Brewery. I am a veteran logo designer with over 25 years professional experience. Below you will find an example of my work, more can be found in my portfolios, thank you.

The Challenge:

The client identified with beer production as a feat of science and engineering and were keen to communicate that in their logo.

They also required help coming up with a suitable tagline.  Designing for breweries/beer is always interesting work and I was involved with a lot of brewery design work early in my career so it was nice to re-visit this industry by designing for the Bowater Brewing Company.

My Thoughts:

I incorporated the brewing tanks and other intricate industrial inner workings into the logo to get that scientific/engineered feel.

This was a great project to work on, I really enjoyed coming up with the concept and the tagline “Precision Engineered Beer”.

Hey, my name is Martin Williams and I am the creator of the now world famous Gymshark Logo Design. I am a veteran logo designer with over 25 years professional experience. You can find further examples of my work in my portfolios, thank you.

The Challenge:

The Gymshark logo design was a really fun brand to work on and the guys behind the company were great work with.

Gymshark required a simple motif developed for the brand. The brief was straightforward – create a clean, iconic marque for the brand to accompany the logotype.

My Thoughts:

I was really happy with the final design, the brief was to create a logo design for the CORE / FIT range in keeping with the principles of legendary sports brands like Nike and Adidas etc.

To achieve that I used simplicity of line and shape to keep the design very minimalistic yet still powerful.

This Gymshark logo has been a massive success for the brand helping drive the business forward. I went though several iterations and refinements before we arrived at the final design. 

As simple as it is, it took a lot of work to get it just right.
