Logo Design Birmingham for Second City Brewery
Brewery Brand Project - Logo Design Birmingham
Second City Brewery (Birmingham) required a logo design for their new company/brand. The challenge was to create something clean and modern yet authentic. A design that would look great on bottles, pump clips as well as all the usual media.
This is a great example of a logo that would look great embossed or debossed and printed in gold hot foil. I have demonstrated this in the secondary images on this page using 3D mock-ups to showcase how this may look.
It is important to note that to achieve this effect you would ask your printer to print you logo in these metallic foils. The logos I create are vector artwork, as such I am limited to using gradients to achieve metal effects, which are not as realistic as printing in foils.
Please see the main large image at the top of this page as an example of the kinds of metal effects that can be achieved with vector art.
For a true metallic appearance (as per the smaller images on this page) that is achieved through specialist printing afterwards.
Why is this the case?
Vector artwork can be scaled to any size, without loss of definition which is important for logo work. These metallic mock-ups are bitmap artwork and as such will pixilate and blur when resized.
